Who writes this
Everything on the GamerX journal is written by the same team that builds and hosts the arcade, published under the GamerX byline. We are not a large newsroom; we are the people who play these games and write about what we actually notice.
How we test what we recommend
- We play a game ourselves before writing about it, not just skim a description.
- Guides about specific mechanics (like a danger lane or a control scheme) describe how the game behaves in real play, not how it is supposed to behave in theory.
- We do not fabricate ratings, play counts, or benchmarks. If a number appears in a post, it is either directly checkable (like a game count) or clearly framed as our own opinion.
No paid placement
We do not accept payment to feature a game more prominently or to write a favorable review. Every recommendation reflects what we would actually tell a friend.
Corrections
Game catalogs and mechanics change. When we catch something outdated, stale, or wrong, we fix it and note the update date on the affected post. If you spot something inaccurate, we would genuinely like to know. See our contact page.
