The crowd-multiplier game is the most-copied shape in mobile gaming and almost none of the copies understand what makes it work. It is not the crowd. It is that every gate is a small sum done under time pressure, and that the wrong answer is visible immediately as fewer people.
Gatecrash is the siege version. You hold to fire your muster up a single lane, every banner multiplies them, and the garrison is spending its own men at the same time — so the question is never how fast you shoot, it is which banner is worth feeding before their line reaches yours. It puts hundreds of animated soldiers on screen in a single draw call, which is why it runs on a Chromebook.
Swarm Cannon is the mob control-style one: fire the crowd through gates, multiply, take the tower. Crowd Surge is the runner version — a canyon lined with gates that double or divide the crowd running behind you, and one bad gate near the end costs more than five good ones earlier bought you.
All three are free, need no account, and are over in two or three minutes a run.
