Everybody dies in one hit. Including you.

A parry duel against five opponents, decided in milliseconds. Each one shows a tell — a blade drawn on the high, middle or low line — and you answer in that guard before the strike lands. Answer dead on and their poise breaks and the next tell comes faster; answer late and you block but your grip slips; answer wrong, or not at all, and the run is over. The early opponents name the line they are about to throw and forgive a few fatal mistakes outright, so the first minute hands out parries and chains rather than testing you; by the fourth there is no mercy left and the rule is the rule. Lose and it tells you how close you were, to the frame.
