Sticky roller
Roll, stick everything, bridge the gaps, then smash.
A sticky tape ball barrels down a workshop belt collecting legos, screws and spoons. Grow through the + gates, dodge the saws, and lay tape bridges over the chasms.

A sticky tape ball rolls down a workshop conveyor and picks up whatever it touches - lego bricks, screws, spoons - each of which makes it bigger. Drag or use left and right to steer. The tape meter under the top bar is your life: a saw cuts a real piece off the ball and knocks things loose, and a saw that catches a ball with no tape to spare shreds it and ends the run. The + gates add to the ball, the - gates take away. The chasms cost tape too: the ball lays a bridge across a gap from its own tape, by the metre, so arriving too small means falling in. The upgrade buttons appear on the menu and the result cards, between runs.
Tape Ball Run is a collector where the collected mass is spent rather than only counted, which is what separates it from the rest of the genre. Laying a tape bridge across a chasm consumes the thing you have been accumulating, so the run has an economy: every + gate is both a score and a fuel stop, and the decision about whether to risk a saw depends on how far away the next gap is. The workshop setting gives the objects a reason to be varied - bricks, screws, cutlery all behave slightly differently when they attach - and the ball's growing turning circle makes the difficulty rise without the game having to add anything.
Roll, pick up everything you touch, grow until the things that were obstacles become collectables. Tape Ball Run is the browser-sized version of that feeling: one course, a gate at the end with a size requirement, and two or three minutes rather than an afternoon. There is no story and no king.
