Hole arcade

A hole.io-style game: grow the drain and swallow everything

Be the drain. Swallow the whole bathroom.

Drive a hungry little drain around tiled floors, sucking up crumbs, caps, ducks and eventually the plunger itself. Grow huge, hit the boost, clear the room.

Free to play, no download, no sign-up. Hosted with ❤ by GamerX.

How to play Drain Rush 3D

You are a drain moving around a tiled bathroom floor, and anything smaller than your current opening falls in. Move with WASD or by dragging. You start able to swallow crumbs and bottle caps; every object you take grows the hole, which unlocks the next size up - rubber ducks, then bottles, then eventually the plunger and the furniture. The whole game is that escalation, and the only real constraint is the clock. A fan meter fills as you eat and, when full, Space triggers a burst of super suction that pulls everything nearby in at once, which is how a good run clears the last and largest objects in time.

Tips

  • Sweep, do not chase. Moving in long passes across dense areas eats far more than darting at individual objects.
  • Small things are not a waste of time early on - they are the only way to reach the size where the big things count.
  • Save the suction burst for a cluster. Using it on open floor wastes the one mechanic that can catch you up.
  • When you outgrow an area, leave it. Time spent on objects far below your current size is time not spent growing.

About Drain Rush 3D

Drain Rush 3D is a hole game - the genre where you are an absence rather than an object - and it is a good example of why the format works so well. The pleasure is entirely in the escalation: the moment where something you have been driving around for a minute suddenly falls in is reliably satisfying, and the game is structured as a chain of those moments rather than as a difficulty curve. The bathroom setting keeps the scale legible, since everyone knows roughly how big a rubber duck is relative to a plunger, which means your current size is always readable without a UI element. The suction meter is the only real skill expression, and it exists so a run can be rescued rather than merely graded.

Drain Rush 3D vs hole.io

Same core idea: you are an opening in the floor, everything smaller than you falls in, and every thing that falls in makes you bigger. The difference is the room. hole.io puts you in an open city block against other holes; Drain Rush gives you one bathroom, a clock, and a plumbing fixture at the end that is the whole point - so it is a short, tight run rather than an arena. There is no multiplayer and nothing to unlock.

hole.iois someone else’s game and not affiliated with GamerX. It is named here because it is the clearest way to describe what Drain Rush 3D is.

Questions

How do I grow the drain?
By swallowing things. Every object you take increases the hole's size, which lets you take the next size up. Small objects early are what unlock the large ones later.
What is the fan meter?
It fills as you eat, and when full, Space triggers a burst of super suction that pulls in everything nearby. Save it for a dense cluster.
Is there a time limit?
Yes - clearing the room is a race against the clock, which is what makes the order you eat things in matter.
Can I play Drain Rush 3D on a Chromebook, at school, or on a phone?
Yes on a Chromebook. Drain Rush 3D draws with WebGL, which every Chromebook has had for years, and it is built for integrated graphics rather than a dedicated card. On a school or office network there is nothing here for a filter to object to on the usual grounds: no download, no installer, no browser plugin, no account, no chat and no user-generated content. Whether your particular filter lets it through is its decision and not something any site can promise. It plays on a phone with touch controls, held upright, and on a keyboard if you have one.
