Wave runner
Surf a high-energy 2D wave course at breakneck speed. Hold the screen to climb at a crisp 45-degree angle, release to plunge down. Dodge giant sharp plasma saws, spiky pulsar mines, and laser gates while leaving a hyper-juiced glowing golden energy wave trail.

One input, two states. Hold and you climb at a fixed 45 degrees; let go and you dive at 45 degrees. There is no other angle and no speed control, so your entire vocabulary is how long you hold and how long you do not, and every path through the course is a zig-zag you assemble out of those two segments. Plasma saws, pulsar mines and laser gates fill the space between, and because your slope is fixed you cannot adjust a line mid-flight - you can only decide where the next corner goes. The course scrolls faster as you survive, which shortens the segments and makes the timing progressively tighter rather than changing what you have to do.
Sliding Wave is a one-button game in the strictest sense: the only thing the player can vary is the length of a press. That constraint is the whole design, because it makes every level a pure geometry problem - given two fixed slopes, find the sequence of switch points that threads the course. There is nothing to master mechanically, only to read, which is why it gets hard through tempo rather than through complexity. Visually it is a neon grid with a golden trail marking where you have been, and that trail is functional as well as decorative: seeing the shape of the path you just cut is how you learn to plan the next one. It is one of the site's two-dimensional games rendered in WebGL.
